DDC reviews action plan regarding winter preparedness at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER-07:- District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla, today convened a meeting with officers of various departments to discuss and review the action plan with regard to winter preparedness in the district.
Threadbare discussion was held on various issues including action plan regarding road clearance in snow bound areas, smooth movement of vehicles on National Highway, availability /dumping of ration items in the district, proper electric power facility at hilly regions of the district, smooth connectivity besides other essentials services were discussed in detail.
DC asked the concerned to ensure stocking of adequate ration and other requisite services in vulnerable areas in advance besides preparing action plan for speedy timely restoration of road connectivity, drinking water and electricity. He asked the concerned departments to submit action plan regarding essential services during winter season.
DDC directed the concerned to evolve an effective mechanism to minimize the chances of disruption of traffic and other essential services. He asked the CAPD to identify the spaces for dumping of ration for winter season besides directing PWD and PMGSY for immediate road clearance.
DDC directed all departments to keep buffer of essential services/items for immediate replacement/restoration in remote areas. He also directed the concerned to be in a state of preparedness to any crisis due to inclement weather.
