Kishtwar DC reviews performance of banks at DLRC meet

KISHTWAR NOVEMBER 07: Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana, today chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting and reviewed the performance of banks.
LDM Kishtwar, Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik, Joint Director Planning Mohd. Iqbal, representatives from various Banks, RBI, DDM, NABARD, Cluster Head J&K Bank besides concerned district officers attended the meeting.
The concerned officers informed the meeting that the district recorded a CD ratio of 32.61 per cent for quarter September 2019 besides highlighting other activities and achievements registered in the district.
DC asked head of the banks to take further necessary steps to increase the CD ratio in the district. He asked the sponsoring agencies to support maximum cases for increasing the SME credit in the district besides sponsoring highest cases of KCC to all the banks.
DDC impressed upon the banks to create awareness among the common masses about different schemes such as JLG groups, PMSBY, PMJJBY and enroll maximum beneficiaries under such schemes. He also asked them to conduct more financial literacy camps in all parts of the district for larger interest of the deserving segments of the society.
