DDC reviews pace, progress of developmental projects in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today chaired a meeting of concerned officers here to review the pace and position of various ongoing developmental projects in the district. The meeting also discussed the implementation of various developmental schemes and programmes.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Planning, CMO, engineers of various line departments, district and sectoral officers and others concerned.

On the occasion, a threadbare discussion with regard to the progress of various developmental projects undertaken in education, health and other sectors was held, wherein DDC stressed for accelerating the pace of work so that desired results are achieved within a time bound manner.

DDC also informed that work on about 180 developmental works have been restored during the last 15 days that were halted due to the prevailing situation. Moreover, he further added that requisite funds for the execution of works have also been released. He directed the concerned agencies to mobilize additional resources for the timely completion of projects.

Meanwhile, it was informed that district administration has established a facilitation centre at NIC DC Office complex, where students can fill up their online application forms for various competitive exams. It was also informed that students and other stakeholders can also use the facility for day to day activities like notices, budgetary allocations etc.
