DDC Ramban launches calendar of activities, reviews preparedness

Ramban, September 17: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today launched a calendar of activities for the “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign, here at a meeting.
He also reviewed the preparedness of the line departments for the “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign.
ADC, Dr. Basharat Hussain, DFOs, DPO, CEO, EO, MC Ramban, DSWO, CAHO, ALC, District Officer, SPCB, ARTO, BDOs, AD Planning and various other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The meeting decided to depute checking squads in the municipalities and rural areas to ensure proper implementation of ban on polythene and plastic use. The Chief Education Officer and DPO were designated as nodal officers for the campaign and directed to organise activities as per the calendar.
The DDC directed the SDMs to organise activities under “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign in their respective jurisdictions.
The departments were asked to motivate all stakeholders and inspire their family members, relatives, colleagues and others to take part in the campaign. He informed that awareness regarding restriction on use of Single Use Plastic (SUP) and plastic waste management will be generated across the towns and villages of the district.
