Anti plastic campaign: Rajouri admin provides Jute Bags to consumers, vendors

Rajouri, September 16: District administration Rajouri today provided jute bags here to the consumers and vendors as part of the anti single use plastic campaign.
District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad distributed the jute Bags among the shopkeepers, vegetable vendors and the customers during a tour of the Rajouri city.
Some consumers who were carrying vegetables in polythene bags were given a jute bag on the spot by team of District administration Rajouri.
The District Development Commissioner Rajouri was accompanied by Chief Agriculture Officer, Rajouri ,Janak Raj, District Panchayat Officer Rajouri, Dr.Abdul Khabir, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrez Singh, Assistant Director FCS&CA, District Information Officer, Rajouri Narinder Kumar, EO Municipal committee Rajouri, Ward councilors and staff of municipal committee Rajouri.
The DDC impressed upon the shopkeepers, vendors and customers to desist from supplying and providing goods in polythene bag and motivate the customers for carrying own bag to avoid poly bags.
