Teenage girl allegedly commits suicide in Sopore

Baramulla, Jul 22: A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide in Sopore in this north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said on Monday.

They said 18-year-old girl, who has not been yet identified, was found hanging in her house at Kralteng, Sopore on Sunday night. However, other family members immediately rushed her to Sub District Hospital, Sopore, where she was declared brought dead by doctors.

It was not immediately clear why she took this extreme step, they said adding police has registered a case and initiated proceedings.
