DC Poonch reviews arrangements for Independence Day

POONCH, JULY 20: Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav, today convened a meeting to review arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations 2019.
ADDC Mohammed Rashid Choudhary, ACD Abdul Qyoom, ASP Adil Hamid, CMO Mumtaz Bhatti, District Employment officer Rayees Iqbal, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, DPO Mukhlis, BDO's, Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE and PDD, District Youth Welfare Sports officer, EO Municipality, CEO, ARTO, Army Officers besides other concerned officers and officials attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that the celebration will began with playing of Shahnai Wadan by the Information department and the main function will be held at sports stadium Poonch where the Chief Guest will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the march past to be presented by contingents of J&K Police, JKAP, BSF, CRPF, Fire & Emergency Services, NCC cadets, Home Guards and school children.
Reviewing the security arrangements, DDC directed for proper arrangement of security in and around the main venue. The Traffic department was directed to identify space for parking of vehicles near the venues.
The arrangements which were discussed in the meeting included arrangements of seating, illumination of buildings, barricading, PAS, availability of drinking water facility, transport arrangements and cultural programmes.
The Deputy Commissioner directed PDD and PHE for uninterrupted Power and water supply on the occasion. He also asked the Health department for adequate healthcare arrangements at the main locations with proper staff, ambulance and medicare.
