ADDC chairs DLMC meet of SHGs of Engineers, reviews registration under PM-SYM

UDHAMPUR, JULY 20-: Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ashok Kumar chaired District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) meet of Self Help Groups of Engineers scheme, here today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Gurvinderjeet Singh, GM DIC, Suram Chand Sharma Assistant Commissioner Development, Neelam Khajuria and other district officers besides SEs and XEns of different works departments and representatives of Self Help Groups of Engineers attended the meeting.
The ADDC reviewed the quantum of works allotted to SHGs by different departments during fiscal 2018-19.
Assistant Director Employment, Waqar Talib, gave a brief of the number works executed by SHGs and quantum of total annual outlay set-aside by different depatments for SHGs.
ADDC directed all departments to ensure that government guidelines regarding earmarking of 30% funds of each fiscal for SHGs of Engineers is strictly adhered to.
The ADDC also instructed the representatives of SHGs to ensure quality of works executed besides meeting the timelines fixed by concerned departments.
Meanwhile, progress of registration of unorganized workers under Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan (PM-SYM) pension scheme was also reviewed in a meeting of concerned officer.
The ADDC laid emphasis on awareness and registration of all wage employees and unorganized workers associated with different departments.
The officers of RDD, ICDS, Education, Health and UDD were particularly asked to mobilize their officials and wage employees to ensure the benefits of PM-SYM are availed by all eligible unorganized workers.
Earlier, Assistant Director Employment informed the meeting that all unorganized workers in the age group of 18-40 years and having income below Rs. 15,00/- are eligible to subscribe to PM-SYM pension scheme by registering themselves at nearest Community Service Centre or Khidmat Centre.
