Srinagar, Jul 18: Former Union Minister Prof Saifuddin Soz on Thursday demanded sacking of Vikramaditya Singh from Congress party for allegedly showing disrespect to 22 Kashmiri martyrs who were killed by Dogra Army on July 13, 1931 outside the central Jail, Srinagar.

“Vikramaditya Singh’s obnoxious remarks regarding the martyrdom of innocent Kashmiris massacred by Dogra Army on July 13, 1931 deserves strongest condemnation. The right course for this sick mind is to travel to Nagpur and beg for the membership of RSS and find balm to his sick mind, there”, Congress leader said in a statement here this afternoon.

He said he wrote to Congress President Rahul Gandhi strongly against Vikramaditya Singh and asked him to see such a sick mind out of the Congress party.

“I further told the Congress President that no condemnation of this obnoxious statement can save the Congress cadres from the bad impact of these remarks. I have argued with Rahul Gandhi that he must do his duty to the party and keep the cadres safe from the virus of all forms of communalism” Soz said.

He said “I have further argued with Rahul Gandhi that it would be inviting trouble for the party if such a person continues to be in the Congress Party nourishing the RSS ideology!”.

Meanwhile, I wrote to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar Shakti Pathak SSP Kishtwar and Additional SSP Nasir Ahmad Station House Officer (SHO) Aijaz Ahmad Wani concerned to convert the petition moved by Sajad Ahmad Najar, District President Congress Kishtwar in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), copy of which has gone to them, into an FIR and initiate immediate proceedings under law.”
