Protest sparks in Kashmir after alleged "objectionable slogans" by stranded passengers

Jammu, Feb 11: Protest sparked in this winter in capital of the state after "objectionable slogans" were allegedly raised by some Kashmir bound stranded passengers.

Sources said that some of the stranded passengers accommodated in a "religious hostel" inside GGM Science College and raised "objectionable slogans", which triggered protest by the college students.

Hundreds of students staged protest and blocked road, which created law and order problem. Police however, tried to disperse the protesters, but the situation got even worse.

Police also resorted to lathi-charge to take control and around five students suffered injuries in action.

The protests were continue while more details are awaited.
