DDC Rajouri inspects progress on developmental works

RAJOURI, JANUARY 17: District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad today conducted an extensive tour and inspected progress on various ongoing development projects, here.
During his visit to upcoming Government Medical College, the DDC inspected the pace of work on the hostel buildings and directed the concerned to immediately start the construction of the residential buildings for faculty as well.
He also asked to connect the GMC with Baba Gulam Shah Badshah University (BGBSU) to facilitate movement of the visitors, students and faculty of the twin institutions.
The PWD functionaries informed the DDC that the DPR for the landscaping of the surroundings of the Medical College has been formulated. It was informed that the Principal GMC has placed demand for additional land for development of lawns and Landscaping around the GMC Campus.
Meanwhile, the DDC visited site of Batala Mang Bridge being constructed by JKPCC.
The Executive Engineer informed that the steel work is in progress and the sub structure will be completed by March, 2019.
The DDC directed the executing agency to complete the work with super structure by August, 2019.
The DDC was accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Yoginder Katoch, Executive Engineer REW, Executive Engineer JKPCC, Tehsildar Rajouri and other concerned officers.
