House collapses in Mendhar, minor dies, girl child injured

Jammu, Jan 9: A minor boy died while a six-month old girl was seriously injured when a kitchen portion of a mud house collapsed in a remote village of tehsil Mendhar of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

"A kitchen portion of a mud house collapsed early this morning in Chajjla area of Mendhar," police here said.

They said that a boy namely Qamran (4), son of Mohammad Riaz died while a six month old girl child namely Anika, daughter of Mohammad Ayub was seriously injured.

"Injured child has been hospitalised and is under observation," they said.
