Girl attempts suicide after failing in XIIth standard in Sopore
Baramulla, Jan 8: A teenage girl attempted suicide in Sopore in this north Kashmir district on Tuesday after she failed in the 12th class examinations, results of which were declared by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School (JKBOSE).
According to reports a 18-year-ol girl, who was not identified, jumped into the river Jhelum at Batpora, Sopore, in Baramulla. However, people present in the area immediately jumped into the river and rescued her. She was later taken to hospital, where her condition is stated to be critical.
It is reported that she had failed in the examination.
A case was registered and investigation initiated.
