Srinagar, Sep 15: Security forces allegedly went berserk in Beighpora village of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and ransacked the house of one of the close relatives of Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Riyaz Naikoo, sources said on Saturday.

Forces raided the joint house of two brothers, Nisar Ahmad and Nazir Ahmad late last night and allegedly ransacked.

Forces even dug their lawn using a JCB, locals claiming to be eyewitnesses said.

When contacted SP Awantipora, Zahid Malik, told that there was a search operation conducted by the army and police were accompanying them.

“There were inputs that a hideout was there at the house so searches were conducted but there was no ransacking,” SP said.
