New Delhi: Due to these weather conditions, moderate rains with few heavy spells are currently have occurred over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the last 24 hours. Jammu and Kashmir also witnessed light to moderate rainfall activity. Now, we expect these rains to continue for at least next one week.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Sunday, Sundernagar recorded 77 mm of rain, followed by Dharamshala 43 mm, Pantnagar 41 mm, Una 27 mm, Mandi 21 mm.

The axis of Monsoon trough is now running south of its normal position. Therefore, humid winds from east and southeast direction will continue to feed moisture over the area leading to on and off rain and thundershower activities.

These rains are expected to continue throughout the week, but extremely heavy rainfalls will be ruled out. Thus, we can say that flash floods will not take place, but incidents of landslide and mudslide may occur over few places.

Thus, we can say that the weather over the hills will be rainy, cool with cloudy sky conditions.
