PM extends Rath Yatra greetings to citizens
New Delhi, July 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Jagannath Rath Yatra.
"With the blessings of Lord Jagannath, may our country scale new heights of growth. May every Indian be happy and prosperous," Mr Modi tweeted.
The main festival is held every year at Puri in Odisha.
"Warm wishes on occasion of holy RathYatra. May Lord Jagannath guide us on path of peace, prosperity & unity. Jai Jagannath," wrote Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in his missive on the micro-blogging site.
The festival is also celebrated in West Bengal and other eastern states.
