MLA Udhampur reviews functioning of PHE sector

UDHAMPUR: Member Legislative Assembly, Udhmpur Pawan Kumar Gupta convened a meeting to review the functioning and current status of various schemes being implemented by PHE , here today.
District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, Chief Planning Officer, Ashok Khajuria, Executive Engineers PHE and PDD and other officers of concerned departments were present in the meeting.
Detailed discussion were held on the functioning of Filtration plants, pumps, capacity of water filtration, design capacity of filtration, leakages of drinking water, replacement of defunct pumps, proper distribution of water supply and additional requirement of pumps .
During the meeting , MLA Udhampur exhorted upon the officers to ensure potable water supply in the areas facing shortage of the drinking water supply. He instructed the officers for rational distribution of water, minimizing the wastage of water by plugging the leakages and supplying the water on the notified time. He further directed the concerned to ensure that all resources are mobilized to provide relief to the people during summer season.
