Drug peddler arrested in Kulgam

Srinagar, May 20: Continuing the drive “war against drugs”, Kulgam Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 18 grams of brown sugar from his possession.

On the directions of SSP Kulgam Shri Harmeet Singh, a police party of Kulgam police headed by SHO Qazigund Shri Tanveer Ahmad laid a naka near Upper Bazar Qazigund. During naka checking, a suspected person, identified as Shahzad Ahmad Padder @Shahlal son of Gull Mohammad Padder resident of Malwan Devsar was intercepted. On his search, 18 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his possession.

A case FIR number 121/2018 under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Qazigund and investigation is going on. More arrests and recoveries are expected.
