100 pc target achieved in PHE, NABARD, power sector in Anantnag

Anantnag, Apr 26: As many as 100 per cent target has been achieved in Public Health Engineering (PHE), NABARD and Power sector in this south Kashmir district, where under Roads and Buildings (R&B) sector 394.50 kms have been macadamised against a target of 405.40 kms during 2017-18, an official spokesman said.

He said the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik on Thursday reviewed the progress of development under DDB decisions, Chief Minister’s commitments & CAPEX Budget 2017-18.

The meeting was informed that under R&B sector 394.50 kms have been macadamised against a target of 405.40 kms during 2017-18. It was given out that 100 per cent expenditure has been done under district sector during this period. Likewise, 100 per cent work done has been achieved under NABARD in the district, while as work is in full swing on other projects under various schemes and will be completed within stipulated time period.

With regard to PHE, it was given out that 100 per cent expenditure has been achieved till March 2018 and work is in progress on various projects under various schemes across the district. It was given out that under NRDWP, out of 82 schemes 13 have been completed so far while as target for the current financial year has been set as 16 schemes.

It was given out that in Power sector, 100 per cent progress have been achieved under CAPEX Budget during 2017-18.

Similarly, under Health sector, work on 13 regular schemes is under progress and work on Public Health Centre (PHC), Hakura has been completed under district sector. Likewise, 90 per cent work done has been achieved on PHCs at Salia, Haptnard, Dethu & Ranipora and are ready to be handed over.

With regard to Education sector, the meeting was informed that, against an availability of Rs 356.71 lakhs, an expenditure of Rs 348.76 lakhs have been made on elementary and secondary education. Similarly, satisfactory achievements were found under RMSA.

Likewise, other sectors including Rural Development, Social Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Irrigation, Flood Control, Fisheries, Forest and Soil Conservation were also reviewed.
