India summons Pak Deputy High Commissioner on ceasefire violation

New Delhi, Mar 20 : India on Monday summoned Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Syed Haider Shah and a strong protest was lodged over the killing of five innocent Indian civilians, including a woman and children in a ceasefire violation by Pakistani forces in Bhimber Gali sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a MEA release here, Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner Shah was summoned and strong protest was lodged "at the loss of lives of five innocent Indian civilians - a family comprising of husband, wife and three children" and grievous injuries to two other minor children in unprovoked ceasefire violations by Pakistan forces.

The incident took place on March 18, Sunday, in Bhimber Gali Sector across the Line of Control in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the release said.
