Uncle of missing MBBS student killed, father among 2 injured in accident

Srinagar, Mar 18 : Uncle of a MBBS student, missing in Odisha since February 9, was killed and father and another relative injured in a road accident in Handwara in north Kashmir district of Kupwara on Sunday.

Official sources said that a car met with an accident at Unisoo, Handwara, in Kupwara this morning resulting in injuries to three person. The injured were rushed to hospital where one of them succumbed. The deceased was identified as Liyakat Ali Khan, uncle of missing student Suhail Aijaz, a resident of Chowkibal. The injured were identified as Aijaz Ahmad Katria, father of Aijaz and Mushtaq Ahmad Kataria. They were returning home from Srinagar after visiting at Odisha.

Aijaz went missing from Odisha on February 9. Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has already taken up the matter with her counterpart in Odisha when it was reported that he was kidnapped from Bhubaneswar by Maoists.
