Srinagar, Feb 4 : Asserting that state has seen a rise in cancer cases in the last seven years, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday urged the people to come together to create awareness about this disease.

On World Cancer day, the Chief Minister said, ''the disease is curable if detected and treated in time.''

''J&K has seen a rise in cancer cases in the last seven years. Let us come together to create awareness about this disease and its symptoms. Cancer is curable if detected & treated early. #WorldCancerDay2018,'' Ms Mufti wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
