No CFV in Arnia in last 24 hours; Uneasy calm prevails on LOC

Jammu: Uneasy calm prevailed on Tuesday on the International Border (IB) in Arnia sector of Jammu district, even as no cross-border firing or shelling incidents were reported during past 24 hours.

Official sources said all educational institutions in Arnia zone would remain closed till further orders.

The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire and shelling for past six consecutive days.

A BSF constable and a civilian were killed and six others injured in the shelling.
