Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated the pious festival of Krishna Janamashtami

Today, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated the pious festival of Krishna
Janamashtami with great religious fervour in the school auditorium. The auditorium reverberated with the holy chants from the Bhagvad Gita. Students came dressed in Krishan and Radha outfits.
They wore peacock head gears and decorated Matkis and flutes. School was decorated colorfully with Jhankis depicting the birth place of Lord Krishan.
Students of pre-nursery class recited poems. Little Sanskritians expressed their feelings with ease and comfort with other listeners. All the listeners were mesmerized and awestruck by the confidence exhibited by the students as they recited poems Results of the competition were announced immediately. Varinda Sharma secured 1 st Position, Harshita secured 2 nd Position, Eklavya and Aarush soodan secured 3 rd Position. Students of 1 st to 9 th also took part in various activities like dance, music, speech narration, Jhoola making and matki decoration.

The school Principal Ms. Shuchita Gupta said to celebrate such occasions actually connects us with our culture i.e, Sanskriti and also enlightened the importance of Krishna Janamashtami. The festival was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the students. Mam blessed the students on
this auspicious occasion. And at last, fruits and sweets were distributed among staff and students.
