Patwari caught red handed by VB

Punjab Vigilance Bureau, during its ongoing campaign against corruption, today nabbed an Irrigation Patwari Mohandeep Singh posted at halqa Kokhar Kalan, Mandal Jawaharke District Mansa red handed for accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000. Stating this here today a spokesman for Vigilance Bureau said the Patwari was nabbed by a vigilance team, while he was accepting the bribe from Kaka Singh, a complainant of village Kokhar Kalan, District Mansa to take action on application for enhancing irrigation water to his fields. Giving details, he said the complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the above named accused was demanding bribe of Rs 2,000 from him.

After verifying her complaint the VB team laid a trap and the accused was arrested and tainted money was recovered from him in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against him at VB police station Bathinda and further investigation was under progress.
