Driver escapes as gushing water takes along oil tanker at Jhajjar Kotli

Jammu: An oil tanker parked by the stream at Jhajjar Canal, near Pancheri Udhampur got washed away as heavy flow of water lashed Jammu amid incessant rains.


One person namely Danish Ahmed s/o Ab. Hamid R/0 Banihal Distt. Ramban went to Jhajjar Canal along with his Tanker bearing no. JK04B/6469 for Bathing purpose.

Unfortunately a heavy flood appeared in the said Jhajjar Canal where the driver and his tanker got trapped. Nearby residents immediately informed the Police and Jhajjar kotli police came in action and rescued the Person safely.

Police has issued an advisory keeping in view the heavy flow of water at Jhajjar Canal. Meanwhile, the area has been conroned and the movement near the Nallah has be restricted.
