After day-long engagements, CM discusses law and order with Guv

Srinagar: After day-long engagements, visits and inaugurations in Srinagar city today, the Chief Minister in the evening reached Raj Bhawan to discuss the prevailing law and order situation in the state.
During the meeting with the Governor, besides discussion on the law and order situation, the Chief Minister also discussed about various arrangements put in place for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji yatra. "The meeting at the Raj Bhawan was focused on the maintenance of law and order, internal security, pace of tourist arrivals in the Valley and the progress of Amarnath pilgrimage among others issues," an official spokesman said.
He said timely implementation of important schemes and projects, functioning of universities, need for critical watch on the emergence of new educational institutions and steps required to protect the education sector in the state also came up for a detailed discussion during the meeting.
Mehooba and the governor also had a discussion regarding various projects to be taken-up by the state government later this year, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, in the day, the CM conducted a whirlwind tour of Srinagar city during which she inaugurated several public utilities and also laid the foundation of many developmental projects.
