ICSI announces free registration in courses for JK students

JAMMU: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) today launched a special Fee Waiver Scheme for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir in Company Secretaries (CS) courses.
Launching the Fee Waiver Scheme at a function in Commerce College today, CS (Dr.) Shyam Agrawal, President, ICSI, said that the scheme has been launched in line with the policy of Government of India for inclusive growth of all parts of the country. It is an opportunity for the students belonging to and residing in Jammu and Kashmir.
“This initiative is expected to play a significant role in promoting excellence and empowerment of the youth of the state and bring all such students to the mainstream by nurturing their brilliance,” he said.
Under the scheme, fee of all Jammu and Kashmir students registering for the Foundation and Executive Programmes will be waived off.
All students who have cleared the 10+2 or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent irrespective of the percentage of marks shall be eligible for Fee Waiver while registering.
Welcoming the ICSI Fee waiver Scheme, R.D. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Jammu University, said that the initiative will encourage the youth to become professionals and join the corporate world.
O.P. Sharma, Registrar of Companies cum official Liquidator, J&K; S.P. Sharma, Principal, SPMR College; Sudhir Anand, Chairman, Jammu Chapter of ICSI and executive members of Jammu Chapter of NIRC of ICSI were also present.
