Army rescues four civilians in Ramban

RAMBAN, Apr 24: In an accident NH44, ROP party of 109 Inf Bn (TA) MARATHA LI based in Digdol saved four civilians near Khooni Nallah on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, early morning, today.

According to officials a vehicle (Santro) bearing registration no. JK03C-2455 which was on the way from Jammu to Srinagar skidded near Khooni Nallah from the road and fell into a deep gorge.

After getting information a team from 109 Inf Bn (TA) MARATHA LI based in Digdol reached the spot and extricated the grievously injured and administered first aid and evacuated the four injured persons.

The injured person identified as Mukhtiyar Ahmed (26), Umair Mir (26), Hamida Begum (54) and Mehak (14).

The army team after giving them first aid shifted the all injured persons to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Ramsoo. A case has been registered in this regard.
