Avalanche warning: Kupwara admin asks people to exercise caution

KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 4: District administration Kupwara Wednesday asked people to exercise caution in view of an avalanche warning issued for higher reaches and sloppy areas of the district valid from March 1 to March 2, 2017 (1700 hours).
It was said that the avalanche warning for next 24-hours exists for Keran, Karnah, Machil Tangdhar, Budnamal, Jumgund Nowgam, Kumkadi, higher reaches of Kralpora.
Accordingly, people residing in these areas have been asked to take necessary precaution while moving outside their homes and refrain from venturing outside during the night hours for their own safety.
