Ahead of rain-snow prediction, summary weather in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 27 : Ahead of prediction of rain and snow due to a fresh Western Disturbance (WD), people continued to enjoy summary weather from the last about a week due to sunshine though the night temperature remained below freezing point at majority of the places in Kashmir.
A Met department spokesperson told UNI that light rain and snow could occur during the next 72 hours in Kashmir valley under the influence of a fresh WD, which is currently active in the region.
Meanwhile, the people continued to shiver in Leh in Ladakh region, where waterbodies are frozen due to sub-zero temperature. Leh was the coldest place in the region after mercury dipped and settled at minus 8.4 degree Celsius, against minus 7.1 degrees C recorded yesterday.
