MLA Inderwal rued non implementation of DDB decisions, called for transparency in Developmental works, office functioning

JAMMU, FEB 23: Former R&B Minister and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Muhammad Saroori rued non implementation of decisions taken during District Development Board (DDB) meetings and demanded transparency while execution of developmental works.
Saroori while raising various issues in Kishtwar DDB meeting held at Jammu on Tuesday called for accelerating pace of the ongoing water supply schemes for its earliest completion. He said that the prestigious Naigad WSS is the lifeline for the people of Kishtwar which needs to be completed within the specific time limit in a transparency manner. He said that out of 32 KMs pipe line, the work on only 12 KMs has been completed while 20 KMs work is still pending and demanded that same needs to be expedited for speedy completion.
He also raised the issue of Rs. 88 lakh Sigdi Foot suspension bridge in Chatroo and called on the government to work towards vacation of court stay so that the work on this bridge could be started at an earliest. He also raised the issue of early restoration of construction on Rs. 144 lakh Circular road near Helipad Chatroo which was damaged due to flashflood in September 2014.
Saroori demanded that high density plants of Apple, walnut may be provided to the farmers of Chatroo, Kishtwar and Bunjwah, in which only 1000 no. of plants were distributed among farmers in Chatroo. He also demanded early sanction for Rs. 25.37 lakh Rajmah village in Inderwal constituency as the file for sanctioning is pending in Director Agriculture Jammu office. He further demanded that Sheep and Animal husbandry centers should be opened in Inderwal, beside highlighted the need to exploit the potential in Kishtwar to grown high quality Saffron to which a DPR to the tune of Rs. 713.27 lakh also stands submitted to Director Agriculture Jammu for approval.
He shows his displeasure that most of the important projects in his constituency were held up due to non availability of land compensation and delay in releasing of compensation of various schemes. He said that PMGSY roads phase I scheme which have been completed are in bad and dilapidated conditions including that of roads from Drabshallah-Bugrana, Bunjwah, Tatani Saroor, Sigdi, Batwari, Tagood, Durbeel, Maliknar, Deller, Passerkote, Kuchal, Challar, Cheera and other roads. He demanded that it required additional funds for maintenance of these roads. So that road to be maintained and people of the said areas won’t face any hardship.
Saroori further said that BDS post (Dental Surgeon) be created at PHCs level added that due to huge rush of pilgrimage at Sarthal Devi Ji, there is urgent need of posting of Doctor at NTPHC Sarthal and other PHCs including Chatroo, Rahalthal Mugalmaidan, Patnazi Bunjwah, Thathri, Jakyas and Chingam. He also called for early settlement of court case on posting of BMO Kishtwar. He also demanded for early clearance of MGNREGA, Swatch Barat, IHHL liabilities pending for the last two financial years and improvement in electricity in far flung areas including Singpora, Sigdi, Chatroo, Kuchal, Passerkote, Keshwan, Thakrie, Sarthal, Drabshalla, Saroor, Thathri, Phagsoo, Kahara, Jakyas, Bhatyas areas.
He lauded PMGSY department for completion of construction of 50 KM road length in Chatroo division which is highest in district Kishtwar till date. He also raised the issue of blacktopping of Sarthal road, early completion of Dunadi Bunjwah, Kuriya Keshwan roads under JKPCC to which work on WBM grade I, II and III to be started departmentally, early construction of building for making Alopathic Dispensary functional at Passerkote Chatroo.
MLA Inderwal also sought directions from the Chairman to the concerned authorities to focus on speedy completion of projects under road, health, education, PDD, horticulture, agriculture, rural development, which are closely linked with the common man. He sought immediate filling up of vacant posts of teachers, lecturers, doctors and para-medics in the Inderwal; saying that the public is suffering due to large number of vacancies. He also raised the other public related issues and urged the administration to attend these issues on priority. On the issue of failure of CEO Kishtwar Development Authority in streamlining the functioning of the authority and his failure to carry forward the developmental works falling under his control and command, Chairman DDB Kishtwar Bali Baghat ordered for attachment of CEO KDA with immediate effect.
