DDC inaugurates training on fruit preservation

SAMBA, JANUARY 23 - District Development Commissioner Sheetal Nanda inaugurated a training programme for women in the art of fruit preservation and Value addition under Submission for Agriculture Extension (SAME)- Mission for Agriculture Extension and Technology (ATMA) here today at Tapyal of block Ghagwal.
A group of 40 women of different villages of block Ghagwal were imparted training in the art of fruit preservation and value addition by the experts from processing wing of the horticulture department.
While speaking on the occasion DDC emphasised the importance of fruit preservation as an entrepreneurship opportunity and asked the participants to avail maximum benefit from the programmes of the department.
SDM Ghagwal, N.D Sharma , HDO Ghagwal Shrestha Gaur and other officers were also present on the occasion.
