MLA kick-starts construction of Riti-Kuperla road

Highlights importance of road connectivity

JAMMU, JANUARY 23: Member Legislative Assembly, Dina Nath Bhagat, today kick-started construction work on Riti-Kuperla road in Chenani Constituency.
The construction of 7 Kilometer road has been taken-up at a cost of Rs. 4.76 crore under PMGSY.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that, with the start of construction work on the said road, a long pending demand of people of the area has been fulfilled. He said this all-weather road would benefit over half- dozen villages of the area get benefitted
Highlighting the importance of road connectivity, the MLA said that road network plays vital role in transforming socio-economic profile of people. He said that better road connectivity provides easy access to every necessary service.
Bhagat said that the present Government is committed to strengthen the road connectivity and has formulated a comprehensive plan to create sound road network in the state. He said that construction of various road projects have been taken up under different state and centrally sponsored schemes.
Maintaining that the present dispensation has an agenda for equitable development of all the sections of society, Bhagat asked people to come forward and avail benefit of schemes launched for their welfare.
Executive Engineer, PMGSY Gian Singh, AEE Aatish Bhardwaj besides other officers of concerned department and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
