DLTF Kupwara finalizes arrangements for NID

KUPWARA, JANUARY 20: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, G. M. Dar, today convened a meeting with District Level Task Force members to finalize arrangements for National Immunisation Day to be held on January 29, 2017.
The meeting deliberated upon action plan for the preparedness and arrangements put in place by the Health Department in collaboration with other concerned Departments with regard to transport, deployment of manpower, training of field functionaries, and training of health workers for the successful anti polio drive.
The DC stressed for coordination and effective measures to achieve 100percent coverage of children below five years of age under the programme.
The meeting was informed that the target population for immunization under NID-2017’s first round in the district is 136262 children, for which 720 polio booths are being setup at different locations. Besides 3083 field functionaries are being deployed from Health, ICDS and NGOs for successful implementation of the drive.
