DC Kulgam reviews availability of essentials

KULGAM, JANUARY 18: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today visited many areas of the district to take stock of the facilities available to the general public following fresh snowfall.
The DC accompanied by senior district officers visited Kulgam town Okay, Nilow, Mirhama, Nihama and Yaripora areas. He also inspected functioning of various Government offices and interacted with the people.
He was informed that all main roads have been cleared of snow and power supply has been restored in the district. The DC directed the Xen MED to ensure snow clearance in the hilly and remote areas of the dsitrict at the earliest.
Pertinently, Control Rooms have been fully activated to ensure smooth snow clearance operations and availability of essentials to the people.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also visited various health centres including SDM Yaripora and fair price shops in the district. He inspected the functioning of Super-50 coaching classes at Nilow, Mirhama and Yaripora and directed the concerned officers to submit regular reports of their working so that proper monitoring is ensured.
