Deputy Speaker’s directive to media: don’t report Opposition protest on power crisis

Jammu, Jan 18: Deputy Speaker Nazir Ahmad Gurezi on Wednesday asked the media not to report the opposition protest over power crises in the Legislative Assembly.
The opposition members staged protests and stormed in the well of the House after they opposed the statement of deputy Chief Minister over power situation in Kashmir.
"Nothing will be recorded in the House. I ask the media persons not to report it. If I saw this report in any of the newspaper I won’t allow you to sit here," Gurezi directed media people present in the press gallery of the House.
The remarks enraged the opposition members who started shouting anti-government slogans following which deputy speaker directed Assembly Police to Marshal out MLA Asgar Karbalayi from the House.
