BOVINES SMUGGLER ARRESTED, 04 BOVINES RESCUED: Police

SAMBA: Samba Police foiled a bovine smuggling bid after arresting the bovine smuggler and by rescuing 04 bovines in the jurisdiction of PS Samba here today.
According to the Police, a team of Police station samba laid vehicle Nakka checking at Mansar morh samba, during Nakka checking Police party intercepted a vehicle tata mobile bearing registration number JK08F- 9028 which was moving towards Valley via Samba-Mansar-Udhampur road.
During checking of the said vehicle, 04 cattle were found laden inside the vehicle without any permission. The accused driver identified as Zakar Hussain Son of Marid Baksh resident of Manohar Gopalla, Samba has been arrested. All the cattle were rescued and shifted to Gaushala at PS Ghagwal which is being maintained by Samba Police at own resources. The vehicle used for transporting bovines was also seized on spot.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 179/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Samba and investigation taken up.
