Two persons die after falling into a well in Kupwara

Baramulla, Jul 9 : Two persons died after they fell into a well in the frontier district of Kupwara in north Kashmir on Thursday, official sources said.
They said two persons identified as 50-year-old Ghulam Mohiuddin Ganai and Ghulam Nabi Khan (35) accidently fell into a well at Gania Mohalla in Chalgund Hatmatpora Hyhama in Kupwara.
A massive rescue operation was launched by police, SDRF and locals, they said adding further details are awaited. Senior civil and police officers are present on the spot, they added. However, after a long struggle both the persons were retrieved and taken to hospital, where they were declared dead.
On July 2 four youths died due to suffocation while cleaning a well at Dardpora Kralpora in Kupwara.
