NYK continues awareness cum distribution programme at village Tata Pani.

#Strengthening Immunity ,the prime concern for future : Nitin

Jammu: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), (MoYAS, GOI) continues its Youth Club Outreach Programme that was started earlier from block doongi.The main purpose of the outreach programme is to aware the youth about COVID-19, to fight the social stigma against health care workers and the highlight the importance of physical fitness in enhancing the immunity and at the same time keeping the spirit of Fit India Movement high.In persuance to this vision, Team Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rajouri visited the youth clubs of village Tata Pani of block kalakote here today and interacted with the youth club members. 

Nitin Hangloo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK Rajouri was accompanied with Mr Vikrant Sarma, Master Trainer Resource Person, NYK, Akshay Sharma, National Youth Volunteer and Rahul Chandan, National Youth Volunteer. A number of youth clubs were present during the interactive session.Dinesh Sudan, National Youth Volunteer, Block Kalakote presented the welcome address to the team and expressed positive concerns for interacting with the youth of the block.


Nitin Hangloo highlighted the issue of social stigma that the healthcare workers are facing in the time of pandemic.He said that healthcare workers are the frontline workers deployed against the virus and any stigma against them would undermine the fight of the nation against this virus. He explained how enhancing one’s immunity would result in the defeat of this virus. He said that sports and games are one of the means of enhancing physical fitness and ultimately the immunity. He said that the purpose of distribution of sports material to the youth is to enhance immunity and physical fitness.


Vikrant Sharma told the youth about the strength of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan which lies in the youth clubs. He said that protecting old people in these times is very important in the fight against Coronavirus as old age people are more vulnerable to this virus and fatality among them is higher than other age groups.He informed the gathering that sports activities are important to increase immunity against the virus. He expressed hope that the youth would involve themselves in physical activities and games to defeat the virus.


The youth expressed gratitude to Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rajouri for providing sports materials. Pamphlets regarding stigma against health care workers were also distributed to the youth.

Sapna Devi, National Volunteer Block Kalakote presented the vote of thanks and extended gratitude towards the team for visiting the area and interacting with the youth. She said that in the past rarely any sports material was provided to the youth of the area and expressed hope that such programmes would also be continued in the future.
