District admn Kishtwar resumes work on 84 development projects

KISHTWAR, MAY 28: To ensure the revival of economic activity and timely completion of various development projects amid COVID-19 lockdown, District administration Kishtwar headed by District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh Tara has allowed resumption of all the MGNREGA works and other works on 84 major projects in the district.
The major activities which has been permitted by the district administration includes resumption of work on surface cutting and formation of National highways with main focus on Kishtwar-Dul- Galhar-Sansari road and Margan-Inshan road, construction activity of Government Degree College Chatroo and Government Polytechnic College Kishtwar, various construction activities at Dam Site Dangduroo and Dool, construction and maintenance of link roads at many places of district operative under CRF, PWD, R&B and PMGSY etc.
Besides this carrying, laying and fitting of G.I. pipes to be undertaken by the engineering wing of Hydraulic Division Kishtwar under B2V and Languishing programme are among the few others to count.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said construction works have been resumed in accordance with set SOPs and guidelines of COVID-19 protocol in order to ensure the safety of the labourers working at these places.
The resumption of these development works in the three sub divisions viz. Chattroo, Paddar and Dachhan Marwah is on the priority of administration as these zones are free from COVID-19 infection and rare mostly backward. All these works were allowed while following proper Social distancing norms and other COVID-19 protocols.
