District Administration B’la announces Special Ration Kits on Eid

About 5000 Destitute Families shall be covered in the Drive: DC B’la

BARAMULLA, MAY 20: In a significant initiative to reach out to poor and destitute section of the society, district administration Baramulla today kick-started a special assistance drive wherein the destitute and deserving families shall be supported on the forthcoming auspicious occasion of Eid.
The move was taken keeping in view the current economic distress that emerged due to COVID-19 lockdown.
Kick-starting the initiative, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo distributes about 500 ration kits containing some vital food items viz rice, sugar, oil etc among the poor and needy ones.
While divulging the details the DC said that about 5000 destitute families shall be covered in this drive so that they are able to celebrate the auspicious festival of Eid without any difficulty.
He said the labour class especially vendors, auto drivers and others that suffered badly from the economic point of view due to COVID shall be covered before under this initiative.
