DM Budgam holds meeting with Imams, Mufties of all mosques of district Budgam

Appeals for adhering to instructions

BUDGAM, MAY 19: Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai today convened a meeting of religious scholars, aimas, mufties of various jamia masajids, dargas located across District Budgam.
While addressing the meeting the DM said, aim of conducting this meeting is to apprise the participants, to adhere to the instructions envisaged under lockdown guidelines and ensure that no gathering of any kind shall assemble in any mosque, khankah or eidgah on the occasion of Shab-e-qadr, Jumat-ul-vida & Eid-up-fitr.
He said these steps have been taken to control the spread of this deadly COVID-19 disease, and since Aimas are respected citizens all over, they shall impart guidance and ensure that people abide by all norms & maintain social distancing.
During the interaction many aimas highlighted issues relating to clarification of guidelines and the steps/ measures to be taken during ensuing auspicious days of Shabe-Qadar, Jummah-tul-vidah and Eid-ul-fitr.
All uelmas and muftis present during the meeting assured DM of following all guidelines and instructions which came from District Administration.
