Asks for maximum coverage under KCC scheme; 100 % Aadhar linking of MGNREGA Accounts


RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 25: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Tuesday chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the performance of banks and line departments under ACP for Quarter Ending December, 2019.
The meeting was attended by CPO, Shama-Un Ahmed; ACD Sushil Khajuria; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohd Ashraf; Lead District Manager, Sunil Sharma; General Manager District Industries Center, District officers of the line departments, cluster Head JK Bank, District coordinators of various banks and other concerned officers also attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed in detail progress and achievements made by the banks in the implementation of various government- sponsored schemes like Kisan Credit Card (KCC), NRLM, Housing for all, Handloom, Weavers MUDRA, SHGs, JLGs, Artisan Credit Card and NUlM. The sponsored schemes, loans provided by banks under direct lending mode were also discussed.
Giving details about the performance of banks, the meeting was informed that total deposits of the district for the quarter ending December, 2019 was recorded at Rs 4480.75 crore, with Rs 1669.28 crore Advances. He also informed that the CD Ratio for the quarter ending December, 2019 was 37.25 percent.
It was also given out in the meeting that 149 Financial Literacy camps were organised by Rural Bank branches, which witnessed a huge participation of the public. It was also informed that 58 candidates have been provided with skill development training by RSETI.
While reviewing the progress under PMEGP DIC,PMEGP KVIB, the meeting was informed that 45 out of 183 and 107 out of 239 cases have been sanctioned, respectively.
About NULM, the Project Officer informed that against 69 sponsored cases, 44 have been sanctioned. Similarly, it was informed that out of 29 under HUF, 9 stand sanctioned till date.
Under DEDS, it was informed that out of 433 sponsored cases 171 cases stand sanctioned.
The DDC, while speaking on the occasion, asked the bankers and the Departments for ensuring 100%coverage of Farmers under KCC Scheme and timely disposal of sponsored cases, exhorted upon concerned departments to take serious note and organise awareness camps in collaboration with Banks to create general awareness along with on the spot case disposals.
The DDC also directed to ensure that there is hundred percent Aadhar linking of MGNREGA Account in coming days.
He further stressed upon greater coordination between banks and various line departments.DDC also directed the concerned to cover the beneficiaries under various social security schemes which includes PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.He also impressed upon the banks and other concerned agencies to provide hassle-free sanction and disbursement of loans under various schemes to people especially unemployed youth of the district and strive hard so that per capita income of rural household can be increased.
