DPEO holds meeting of RO’s ARO’s regarding Panchayat By-Polls

UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY-14:- District Panchayat Election Officer, Udhampur, Dr. Piyush Singla today convened a meeting of Nodal Officers, Returning Officers (RO’s) and Assistant Returning Officers (ARO’s) regarding free and fair conduct of Panchayat By-Elections 2020 in the district.
Deputy District Election Officer, Dr. Kusum Chib, gave a detailed resume on account of election preparedness. She informed that different committees have been constituted to check implementation of Model Code of Conduct in the district.
Threadbare discussions were held on arrangements including randomization of polling staff, security arrangements, deployment of police personnel, status of polling stations, assured minimum facilities, imposition of MCC, flying squad and related issues.
The DPEO briefed all the Nodal officers, RO’s, ARO’s and other designated officers about their duties and responsibilities during election period. He asked them to ensure implementation of MCC and other guidelines of Election Commission of India in letter and spirit.
Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Gurvinderjeet Singh, ASP, Rajinder Katoch, ACD, Mushtaq Choudhary, ACR, Viqar Giri, IAS Probationer, Faz-Lul –Haseeb, DTO, Lokesh Gupta, ARTO, Rachna Sharma, DIO, Sajad Bashir Somberia besides all ROs and AROs were present on the occasion.
