DLSA celebrates National Girl Child Day at Kathua

KATHUA, JANUARY 24:- District Legal Services Authority today celebrated National Girl Child Day under the chairmanship of Pr. District & Sessions Judge Pawan Dev Kotwal at CDPO Office Kathua.
The programme was organized by Secretary DLSA Aarti Mohan. The main purpose of this programme was to spread awareness among people about all the inequalities that girls face in the society.
On the occasion Retainer Lawyers of DLSA Neeraj Sharma and Pankaj Kumar highlighted the various central and state sponsored schemes to encourage families to have girls child and their upbringing. They also spoke about female foeticide and Infanticide.
Similarly, Tehsil Legal Services Committee Billawar, Hiranagar, Mahanpur, Basohli and Bani also organized programme on “National Girl Child Day”.
