Bhaderwah, June 27: At least two people lost their lives while four others sustained injuries after a vehicle met with an accident on Guldanda Road in the Bhaderwah area of Doda district on Saturday.
Officials said the vehicle reportedly lost control and veered off the road before tumbling into a deep gorge.
The injured were immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Bhaderwah, where doctors declared two of the passengers dead.
The deceased have been identified as Imam Hussain (65), a resident of Akhnoor, and Zaitoon Bibi.
The four injured persons were provided initial treatment at SDH Bhaderwah and were later referred to Government Medical College Doda for specialised medical care.
Police have registered the incident and started further investigation. More details are awaited.
