JAMMU, 8 Feb: Senior CPI(M) leader MY Tarigami raised concerns over the deteriorating health of jailed MP Baramulla Engineer Rashid.
It is learnt that Er Rashid was recently shifted to hospital owing to ill health following the hunger strike.
Tarigami said Er Rashid is representative of Baramulla constituency who is elected through people’s mandate and said his case shall be handled with uprightness.
“We urge authorities to ensure proper medical facilities until the bail is granted. Moreover, we all are concerned about his health,” said Tarigami.
MY Tarigami also reiterated that is democratic nation and every imprisoned person deserves to be heard adding that the justice shall be delivered at the earliest.
Pertinent to mention, Engineer Rashid is facing trial owing to his involvement in terror funding.
