MAY 3: Following the inputs from the Indian authorities about the suspects linked to Pahalgam terror attack, a special search operation was in full swing at Bandaranaike International Airport in Sri Lanka.
It is learnt that the search operation was carried out jointly by the Sri Lanka Police and the Sri Lanka Air Force, and airport security authorities.
Th suspects linked to Pahalgam massacre could be on a flight from Chennai which triggered Sri Lankan officials to conduct a search aircraft arrival, however, no threat was found after search.
Sri Lankan Airlines assured passengers that their safety and security remains the foremost priority of the airlines.
