UT govt forms panel to Approve Agriculture Value Chain Projects

Jammu: The union territory Government has now moved the facility for issuing Domicile Certificates from the ‘Service Plus’ portal to the ‘Jan Sugam’ portal. As per order issued by Jammu and Kashmir revenue department addressed to all Deputy Commissioners issuing authorities, including Tehsildars , have been instructed to process all new domicile certificate applications exclusively through the Jan Sugam portal. No new applications shall be accepted via the earlier Service Plus portal.
The order, issued by Afaq Ahmad, Under Secretary to the Government, further requested that wide publicity be given to inform the general public about this portal shift for transparency and accessibility.
Meanwhile the Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level committee to approve and review projects under the Public Private Partnership for Agriculture Value Chain Development (PPPAVCD) Programme in the Union Territory.
As per order, the eight member committee will be chaired by the Administrative Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department and will include members such as the Directors of Agriculture Jammu and Kashmir, Directors of Horticulture (Jammu/Kashmir and Planning & Marketing), concerned Deputy Commissioners, Director Research SKUAST Jammu/Kashmir, the Convener of the UT Level Bankers’ Committee, and other key stakeholders.
The committee’s mandate includes examining, reviewing, and approving project proposals received under the PPPAVCD framework. It will also invite applicants to present their proposals before the committee and evaluate and assess the proposals and presentations in terms of their suitability, alignment with UT priorities, and conformity with the overall framework of the PPPAVCD.
